Hi Firstly the term hairline fracture is too much (ab)used. If there's a fracture which is visible on X-ray- the ankle and foot must be protected by slab or cast to avoid fracture progression and displacement. Skin around ankle if turning bluish is just a sign of degradation of blood which gets deposited underneath the skin. However if the toes are turning blue- it's an emergency!!

You should share xrays too. Where is the fracture. Is it hair line in one view and opened in another view. Swelling is going to be there is its fracture. Blue discolouration is due to blood clot appered from fracture bone. Nothing to worry. Apply ice over that area. Strictly keep your leg above two pillows. Do not put weight on the fracture leg and walk. It should be strictly non weight bearing walk. If its hairline also get plaster done. It will help in healing . But first confirm is it really fracture.
